Flagstaff Community Markets was started in 2000 as a regional producers market that operates for growers and producers of agricultural and related products. The primary purpose of the Market is to support small and medium sized independent growers and producers by providing citizens with a local alternative to corporate and globalized food production.
Intended to connect growers and consumers and encourage people, both urban and rural, in growing more of their own food. A secondary purpose is to provide an outlet for small-scale producers of value added food products, local artisans, and community and sustainable agricultural groups.
Additionally, it is the purpose of the Flagstaff Community Market to provide a Community gathering space for residents and visitors to Flagstaff to mix in a relaxed, educational, and fun environment.

The holidays can be stressful enough. If you are anything like me, my brain gets overhwhelmed with trying to pick what wrapping paper is festive enough, let alone traveling home to visit family or friends.
Staying with family or friends for the holidays can come at a cost to your comfort. Cramped on a couch half your size, or sharing a room with snoring Aunt Mildred. Or worse, tiptoeing in the middle of the night to use the shared bathroom where you unexpectedly discover that grandpa sleeps in tighty whities. Ishh.
Don’t get me wrong, spending time with family is important. But minimizing your holiday madness by considering renting a vacation rental home that can give you a home-away-from-home feeling for the holidays, with room to spread out—while keeping your sanity.
Whether you’re going on vacation, or renting a home down the street from your in-laws, a vacation rental can give you twice as much space for typically half the cost per person compared to booking a hotel room.
The extra amenities in a vacation home really make a difference, such as a kitchen to have your quiet coffee before heading out to meet up with family for the 12-hour Monopoly tournament.
As an added bonus, some vacation rentals allow pets. This way, you don’t trouble other family members who may have allergies. If traveling with small children. some vacation homes will provide a Pack-and-Play, which will be less for you to carry.
Whereever you end up for the holidays, I wish you a very joyous season and bundle-up with all those you love.
